About Me

Welcome to Melissa Blooms! 

My name is Melissa Berendes, and I am the owner of this fun little shop! Originally from Colorado, my husband and I moved here 12 years ago and fell in love with the slower paced life of Wyoming and the beauty that surrounds us. Exploring the mountains and Glendo State Park with my family has become a cherished pastime. It was during these adventures that my passion for foraging began. There is so much unique foliage around here and I love challenging my knowledge and using it in my arrangements. 

With 5 years of floristry experience, I decided to step outside of traditions and offer something fun and modern to the community of Douglas. Thus, Melissa Blooms was born. Who doesn't love playing with flowers all day long? I specialize in unique, modern flower arrangements and weddings. I also have a variety of gifts, plants and accessories that compliment any occasion perfectly.
